The Centre for History of the University of Lisbon (CH-ULisboa) is accepting expressions of interest for hosting project proposals for the 7th edition of the Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus (CEEC), funded by FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, I.P.
CH-ULisboa
CH-ULisboa is one of the oldest and most experienced research units dedicated to historical sciences in Portugal. It conducts dynamic and innovative research, carried out by a research team connected to national and international research networks. CH-ULisboa has access to the best bibliographical and archival resources in Portugal for historical research, due to its proximity to the National Archive Torre do Tombo, the National Library of Portugal, and the Library of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, the largest university library in Portugal specialising in the social sciences and humanities.
What to do?
To be hosted at CH-ULisboa, the researcher must ensure at the time of submitting their project that it aligns with the Strategic Plan and the activities of the research groups (Building and Connecting Empires; Court Studies and Diplomacy; Cultural Encounters and Intersecting Societies; Military History; Uses of the Past), as well as the terms stipulated on the FCT page dedicated to the call and in the Scientific Employment Regulations.
The expression of interest should be sent by email to centro.his@letras.ulisboa.pt by the 15th of November 2024 and must include the following documents:
- Summary of the work plan (max. 5000 characters);
- Category (Junior/Auxiliary);
- Curriculum vitae;
- Cover letter explaining the scientific path of the last five years and its relevance (max. 5000 characters);
- Relevant publications from the last 5 years.
What to expect?
CH-ULisboa commits to contacting applicants in the days following the submission of expressions of interest and to providing guidance to those whose projects are accepted during the final preparation of the application. Applications submitted after the internal deadline (15th of November), as well as those that do not include the requested documents, will not be guaranteed CH-ULisboa’s support throughout the application process. Please note that applications are individual and must be submitted by the applicant through the FCT platform. The applicant should also be familiar with the relevant legislation in force.
