Ana Valdez recebe posição de Investigadora Principal (Concurso Estímulo ao Emprego Científico - Individual FCT)

A investigadora Ana T. Valdez, do Centro de História da Universidade de Lisboa, ganhou uma posição de Investigadora Principal no Concurso Estímulo ao Emprego Científico - Individual (FCT), uma das três posições atribuídas no painel de História e Arqueologia. ​A investigação a desenvolver, durante os próximos seis anos (na sequência de uma carreira nas Universidades de Lisboa, Yale, Brown, Columbia, UMass-Lowell, Oxford e Évora), subordina-se ao tema "Mapping Endings, Visualizing New Beginnings: Apocalyptic Expectations and Religious Tolerance and Toleration in the Early Modern Portuguese Atlantic World" (CEECIND/00139/2017).

"The project aims to scrutinize the history of religious tolerance and the processes of toleration in tandem with eschatological expectations observed in the 17th-century Atlantic basin. It will build on how eschatological information circulated and its impact on the development of the European Atlantic projects. In addition, it will discuss the importance of religion and of this type of expectation in our own time, thus fostering the dialogue between academia and decision makers".
