The Kings & Queens International Conference returns to Portugal in its 14th edition. In the year that marks the 10 year anniversary of the last K&Q conference in Lisbon, and 500th year anniversary of the death of Queen Leonor of Lancater, a simbolic bridge between England and Portugal) this year's conference is aiming to discuss often overlooked themes concerning monarchies. In that regard, the cientific comittee is looking for papers related to:

- Diplomacy and International relations

- Queenship and feminin agency

- Family dynamics and succession

- Court culture and society

The deadline for submitting proposals is December 15, 2024, which should be sent to  kq14lisbon@gmail.com
