The Centre fo History of the University of Lisbon offers excellent conditions for the development of historical research in Portugal. As part of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (FLUL), the unit offers multiple opportunities for its team of researchers to collaborate with the History Department, as well as various partnerships with other Schools of the University of Lisbon.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

CH-ULisboa has access to the best working conditions for historical research: i) due to its proximity to the National Archives of Torre do Tombo (ANTT) and the National Library of Portugal (BNP); ii) because it benefits from the Library of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, the best Portuguese university library specialising in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities, providing extensive digital resources; and iii) because of the School’s various research centres, which encourage and support interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration.<\/p>

The Centre, with an area of almost 300 m2, is housed in one of the wings of FLUL’s central building. It is divided into rooms that include a common work space for researchers (the Virginia Rau Room), work rooms for members of the Board and the Secretariat, and several meeting rooms, as well as the Library, the Archive and spaces for processing and digitising documentary collections.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Common room for CH-ULisboa researchers. Integrated researchers and collaborators can activate their School card at the Technical Support Division so that they can enter the room.
