Nuno Simão Miranda Guerra da Silva Ferreira has a degree in History and European Studies from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon. Master in Contemporary History. His Master’s Thesis is entitled “The Integralist Thought of Alberto de Monsaraz”, from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon. Postgraduate in “Ethics, Law and Political Thought” (from the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon) and in “History and Gender” (from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon). Graduated in the Educational Training Branch in History, from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon. Finalist for a PhD in Contemporary History, from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon, with a focus on the military and political path of D. José Trazimundo Mascarenhas Barreto (7th Marquis of Fronteira) in Liberalism (1820 to 1834). History Teacher (3rd Cycle of Basic and Secondary Education) at the Matilde Rosa Araújo School Group (Cascais). Integrated Researcher at the History Center of the University of Lisbon, in the Military History and Court and Diplomacy Research Groups, and collaborator in the Uses of the Past Group. External Investigator of the International Line “Rights, History and Memory” (DHM) (Brazil). Member of the International Association for Comparative Fascist Studies (COMFAS), Austria and the Netherlands. Collaborator of the Portuguese Military History Commission (CPHM).
Research Interests: History of the Portuguese radical right before the 25th of April 1974 (Lusitanian Integralism, National-Syndicalism, National League May 28 and studies on the internationalization of Portuguese Fascism in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century); Portuguese Liberalism and Memorialism of the 19th century; Portuguese Military History (from the mid-18th century to the 60s of the 20th century); Corporatism and Organicism; History of Concepts.
