PhD in Social Anthropology (ISCTE). Degree in History (FLUL). Postgraduate degree in Documentary Sciences (Archive) from FLUL. For several years responsible for the Ethnographic Archive of the National Museum of Ethnology in Lisbon. Director of Services at the Higher School of Technology and Management, and the Higher Agricultural School, of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo. Technical coordination for the FCT’s project “Modernization of the Overseas Historical Archive: Manuscript Cartography” (IICT). Researcher at the Center for African and Asian Studies (IICT). For several years as a university professor (Museology). Responsible Researcher (IR) of the Research Project (FCT) EXPLORA, within the scope of which an exhibition was held and a catalog was published. Researcher of the Projects (FCT) CATETO and PHOTOLIS, carried out at the Lisbon Geography Society (SGL). Curator of several exhibitions. Internship advisor in African Studies and Anthropology.

For several years, Curator and Director of the Ethnographic Museum of the Lisbon Geography Society and also General Secretary of the same Society. Diverse bibliography, linked to the theme of extra-Western ethnographic collections, in Portugal. Published doctoral thesis (FCT/FCG).
