Inês Olaia is currently a PhD candidate in Medieval History in the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. Her project was  funded by a PhD fellowship by FCT (2020.04440.BD). Her project is focused on the roles and powers of the queens of Portugal in the Middle Ages. Inês finished her undergraduate studies in 2017 in the same institution and obtained a Master’s in Medieval History degree next. Her dissertation for her Master’s was a study in local administration in the Medieval Portugal. She’s a member of the Centre for History of the University of Lisbon. Her main research focus have been institutional history, queenship studies and the history of emotions.
