Miguel Pack Martins is an integrated researcher at the Military History Research Group of the Center for History of the University of Lisbon. He currently works as a Science and Impact Manager at the Innovation, Research, and Impact Strategy Division (IRIS) of the NOVA School of Science and Technology.

He began his academic career in Archaeology at the School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon (2009). At the same institution, he completed a master’s degree in Military History (2014) and a doctorate in Contemporary History (2021),whose thesis was about Napoleon’s Marshals.

In 2019–2020, he briefly collaborated with the Army Library, contributing to the study of its Napoleonic collection. His primary area of expertise is the Napoleonic Period, Napoleon and the French Revolutionary Wars. He recently published a book on the Marshals of the Empire (2023) through the Themudo Barata Prize (2022)  given by the Portuguese Comission for Military History. Additionally, he has delivered conferences and authored articles on the Napoleonic Wars, the French Revolutionary Wars, and the Peninsular War.

More recently, his research has focused on Portuguese Napoleonic pamphlets (1807–1814) .
