Ana Maria S. A. Rodrigues (BA and MA, Sorbonne Université; PhD and Habilitation, University of Minho) is currently retired, although she continues to engage in research as a full member of the Centre for History of the University of Lisbon. Her ongoing research concerns medieval court culture and queenship. She was a Full Professor at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon from 2002 to 2024. Previously, she lectured at the University of Minho (1984-1999). She was also Deputy Coordinator of the National Commission for the Commemoration of the Portuguese Discoveries (1999-2002). She taught courses on Medieval History and Gender History at graduate and post-graduate levels and has supervised around thirty MA and PhD theses. She is the author of more than 100 publications, including authored and edited books, book chapters, and journal articles.
