Training: Graduate Programmes

CH-ULisboa maintains its foundational commitment to training graduate students, enrolled in MA and PhD programmes, as well as to support post-doctoral projects. The research unit has a policy of close collaboration with the graduate courses of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon and the interuniversity programmes in which it participates, a complementary relationship that has resulted in the recruitment of a significant proportion of its junior researchers from those institutions.

The research unit has been developing several interuniversity graduate programmes in partnership with prestigious institutions from the Portuguese academic landscape, as the the Institute for Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon, ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, the Military University Institute, the National Air Force Academy, the National Military Academy, the National Naval School, the Portuguese Catholic University, the University of Algarve, the University of Coimbra, the University of Évora, and the University of Madeira.

Master's degree programmes

History, at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, with specialization in: Ancient History, Medieval History, Modern and Contemporary History, History of Discoveries and Overseas Expansion, Palaeography and Diplomatic, History of Africa, History of Brazil, Gender History, Historiography and Theory of History.

History and Culture of Religion, at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon.

Maritime History, in a partnership between the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon and the National Naval School.

History of the Islamic and Medieval Mediterranean, in a partnership between the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, the University of Évora, and the the University of Algarve.

Military History , in a partnership between the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, the University of Coimbra, the University of Madeira, the Military University Institute, the National Military Academy, the National Air Force Academy, and the National Naval School.
